Overview
How we work and what you get
'Affordable website' does not have to mean a quality compromise — it means the right scope for the right budget. Feather Studio offers clearly defined packages for entrepreneurs and small businesses who need a professional website without an enterprise budget. The key is defining what is truly needed for your goal and what are luxury additions that can wait.
What is in the basic package: a marketing site with 4-6 pages, responsive design (mobile, tablet, desktop), a contact form, technical SEO foundation (metadata, sitemap, robots.txt, schema), SSL certificate and Google Analytics setup. Without these elements a site is not ready for Google or serious business.
What is not needed immediately: multilingual support (if targeting only the Serbian market), custom animations, advanced multi-user CMS, e-commerce with 50+ products, API integrations. These features are added later as the business grows.
Transparency is our principle: every proposal has line-item details — no 'package' label without a list of what is in it. No late surprises of 'that was not in the price'. The smaller the budget, the more precise the scope definition matters.
Hosting and domain: we do not include them in the site price because ownership should be with you. We recommend options by budget and help with setup, but you pay the provider directly — your account, your site.
When a lower-budget site is the right choice: when you are just starting out and want to validate your offer before a larger investment, when you are a local service business whose clients come through referrals and Google Maps, or when the site is a business card alongside your social profiles. When it is not: when the site has to sell products, compete for queries with strong competition, or take over work a person does today — bookings, quotes, applications. In those cases a cheap solution usually ends up costing more within a year.
Where the cost usually hides in the cheapest offers: the site is built on a purchased theme licensed to the developer; hosting and domain sit in the agency account, so you cannot change anything without them; form or gallery plugins require an annual subscription after year one; and the no-index setting from development stays on after launch, so the site does not exist for Google for months. Before signing, ask about each of these and get the answer in writing.
How to pay less without cutting quality: prepare the texts and photos yourself — we provide the structure and suggested headings; start with four or five pages instead of ten; use a clear form and a call button instead of a booking system; and add a blog or extra languages once the site starts bringing in enquiries. Current packages and exactly what each includes are listed on the pricing page.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum price for a website?
A marketing site with 4-6 pages, a contact form and SEO foundation typically starts from around €1,500. Below that it is hard to deliver a quality solution with technical SEO.
Can an affordable site appear on Google?
Yes — if it is technically correct. A cheaper site with good content and a solid technical SEO foundation outperforms an expensive site that lacks these.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, we agree on a payment schedule: typically 50% at start, 50% at launch. For longer projects and more instalments — we discuss.
What happens if I want to add features later?
We build modularly — adding features after launch is a standard part of the process, not chaos.
Is content creation included?
Basic structure and heading suggestions yes; writing all copy is optional and a separate line item — or you supply your own.
Is a Wix or Squarespace site the cheaper option?
At the start it often is — the monthly subscription is low and you can assemble the site yourself. The difference shows later: you cannot move the site to another provider, and for advanced SEO, speed and custom features you are limited to what the platform allows. For a business card it is a reasonable choice; for a site you expect to bring enquiries from Google, it usually is not.
What should I check before accepting the cheapest offer?
Four things: whose name the domain and hosting are registered to, whether you get administrator access, who pays theme and plugin licences after year one, and whether the site is open to Google after launch — that takes five minutes to check in Search Console. If you do not get a clear answer to any of these, the offer is cheap only on paper.
