Overview
How we work and what you get
A web application is more than a website: it is software users use to do work — manage orders, track projects, book appointments, generate reports or communicate with the team. The difference between a site and a web application is in interactivity and the business logic behind it. Feather Studio develops custom web applications from idea to production.
Technology stack for web applications: Next.js as a full-stack React framework (frontend + API routes), PostgreSQL or MongoDB for data, NextAuth or custom JWT authentication, and deployment on Vercel, Render or a self-hosted Node environment. For complex backend logic — Node.js with Express or NestJS. The choice depends on project scope and requirements.
Examples of web applications we build: CRM and project management tools for small teams, booking and reservation systems with calendar, document management portals, B2B order and status tracking portals, internal tools replacing Excel spreadsheets and email coordination, and SaaS platforms with multi-tenant architecture.
Agency vs in-house development: an agency brings experience from multiple projects, a faster start (no need to build a team) and a predictable budget. An in-house team is better when the product is ongoing and requires continuous iteration. For MVPs and first versions — an agency is usually the faster and more economical path.
Feather Studio builds web applications with clear documentation, a code review process and project handover with maintenance instructions. Contact us with a short description of the problem the application should solve.
